   We understand the fatigue of travel, so we've included an extra night's stay for you to unwind and rejuvenate before embarking on your epic motorcycle tour. Relax, take in the ambiance, and prepare yourself for the thrilling days ahead. Get ready to kick-start your adventure.

   Have breakfast at your hotel, then we will pick you up at 8:00 AM the morning of your tour and bring you to our HQ to complete paperwork, Safety Briefing, Bike Hand Over, and hit the road.

   Day 1

   Christmas Eve: Chiang Mai → Phayao → Nan

   Christmas Eve Departure: We'll collect you from your hotel at 7:30 AM on Christmas Eve (tour day one). Head to our headquarters for a special festive breakfast at Route 66 Bikers Cafe, complete paperwork, attend safety briefing, receive your motorcycle, and hit the road for your magical Christmas-New Year adventure. Start your Christmas Eve adventure on one of Thailand's most spectacular riding routes, showcasing stunning scenery from rolling hills and lush forests to tranquil lakes and picturesque villages. The Christmas Eve journey from Chiang Mai to Nan is truly magical. Departing Chiang Mai toward Phayao, navigate winding roads offering magnificent mountain and forest vistas. Phayao, a charming lakeside town, provides authentic glimpses into traditional Thai culture. Visit local temples adorned with festive decorations, sample delicious street food with holiday specialties, and browse unique handicrafts perfect for Christmas gifts. Continue through scenic countryside past rice paddies and small villages celebrating the season. Approaching Nan, ride through a stunning mountain pass with incredible landscape views. Upon arrival, explore this captivating town and discover its rich history and culture enhanced by holiday festivities.

   Day 2

   Nan → Bo Kluea (800-Year Salt Mine) → Doi Phukha → The Nan Loop

   Embark on the scenic Nan Loop, one of Northern Thailand's most beautiful and iconic routes. This journey combines stunning natural beauty, cultural experiences, and significant landmarks. The ride to Bo Kluea winds through mountain roads, lush forests, rolling hills, and charming villages showcasing traditional Thai holiday customs. Bo Kluea features an 800-year-old salt mine operational since the 13th century. Learn about Thailand's salt mining history and observe traditional methods still used today. Continue through magnificent Doi Phukha National Park, witnessing breathtaking mountain and valley views. We'll stop at the magnificent Phu Kha Viewpoint 1715 for spectacular panoramic vistas. The park hosts diverse flora and fauna, including over 200 bird species, making it perfect for nature enthusiasts. Returning to Nan, pass through delightful villages experiencing local holiday celebrations and unique cultural traditions. Nan offers rich experiences including temple visits with festive decorations, museums, art galleries, delicious seasonal cuisine, and shopping for handmade holiday crafts.

   Phu Lanka → Phu Chi Fah → Chiang Khong

   Journey from Nan to Chiang Khong with stops at culturally significant landmarks, perfectly blending natural beauty, cultural experiences, and historical importance. The ride to Phu Lanka traverses picturesque countryside with stunning views of lush green hills and winding rivers. Phu Lanka mountain range offers serene environments perfect for experiencing Northern Thailand's tranquility during the festive season. Continue to Phu Chi Fah for Thailand's most spectacular views. Known for unique rock formations and stunning vistas extending to Laos, this popular hiking and camping destination offers trails for various fitness levels. Arrive in Chiang Khong, a charming Mekong River town rich in cultural experiences. Visit local temples celebrating the season, museums, sample delicious holiday cuisine, and shop for festive handicrafts. Enjoy Mekong River boat rides with stunning countryside views.

   Chiang Khong → Golden Triangle → White Temple → Fang

   Travel from Chiang Khong through the famous Golden Triangle to Fang, combining stunning natural beauty, fascinating history, and unique cultural experiences enhanced by holiday celebrations. Begin at the Golden Triangle where the Mekong River meets Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar borders. This significant Southeast Asian geographical landmark offers stunning countryside views. Visit Golden Triangle Park featuring museums and regional history exhibitions. Continue to the magnificent White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), a stunning contemporary temple blending traditional and modern architecture, beautifully decorated for the festive season. Conclude in Fang, experiencing the town's rich cultural heritage and holiday traditions. The ride showcases Northern Thailand's most picturesque countryside with well-maintained roads providing smooth, enjoyable riding and stunning mountain and valley views.

   Fang → Chiang Dao → Pai

   Ride through Northern Thailand's most beautiful and scenic areas. From Fang, head toward Chiang Dao, a charming town nestled in Doi Chiang Dao mountain range foothills. Wind through mountains passing picturesque villages and stunning natural landscapes including lush forests, sparkling rivers, and rice paddy-dotted rolling hills. Well-maintained roads offer perfect combinations of smooth curves and exciting twists, ideal for motorcycle enthusiasts. Visit Wat Tham Chiang Dao Temple, a fascinating limestone cave temple located in the foothills of Doi Luang Chiang Dao, Thailand's third-highest mountain, north of Chiang Mai. While the exact origins of the temple are unknown, it is believed to have been established during the Lanna Kingdom period, offering a mystical spiritual experience within ancient cave chambers. Continue toward Pai through spectacular natural scenery including Pai Canyon - narrow ridges and deep gullies offering Northern Thailand's most breathtaking views. Before arriving in Pai, we'll visit Rak Chang Viewpoint for stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding valleys and mountains. End in charming Pai, known for laid-back atmosphere, vibrant nightlife, and unique cultural offerings enhanced by New Year celebrations. Explore the night market with fantastic local foods and handicrafts, or relax in nearby hot springs.

   Pai → Ban Rak Thai → Mae Hong Son

   Embark on an unforgettable journey from Pai to Mae Hong Son. Starting in mountain and hot spring-surrounded Pai, traverse picturesque Pai Canyon where breathtaking landscapes make every twist and turn a visual masterpiece. Continue to Ban Rak Thai, a charming lakeside Yunnanese village offering authentic tea tastings at local plantations, ornate tea houses, and traditional noodle restaurants. This unique cultural stop provides insight into the Chinese heritage of the region. The route meanders through quaint villages revealing authentic regional local life enhanced by holiday traditions. Arrive in Mae Hong Son, enchanted by timeless temples including iconic Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu offering panoramic town views. This ride transcends ordinary travel, becoming a soul-stirring exploration of Northern Thailand's hidden gems.

   Mae Hong Son → Long Neck Karen Village → Mae Sariang

   Set forth from captivating Mae Hong Son to enchanting Mae Sariang. Roll through mist-kissed valleys and verdant landscapes while witnessing the region's cultural tapestry unfold during the festive season. Visit renowned Phra That Mae Yen temple, perched atop a hill offering panoramic mountain views. Continue to serene Pang Ung, a picturesque pine forest-surrounded lake providing an idyllic spot for tranquil breaks. Riding through undulating terrain, encounter the awe-inspiring Long Neck Karen Village, a tribal village where Kayan women wear distinctive stacked brass rings on their necks and sell beautiful handmade crafts. Experience unique Kayan people cultural traditions that come alive with special New Year celebrations. The final stretch to Mae Sariang features sweeping river views and charming rural vistas.

   Mae Sariang → Doi Inthanon → Chiang Mai

   The grand finale journeys from Mae Sariang to majestic Doi Inthanon, culminating in vibrant Chiang Mai. Navigate verdant hills and valleys while absorbing Mae Sariang's serene riverside landscapes. The route leads to awe-inspiring Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest peak, where you can explore royal pagodas and immerse in cool mountain air. During descent, wind through lush Wachirathan Waterfall and picturesque Karen Hill Tribe Village, glimpsing their rich traditions.

   Your Last Night on Us: Pizza, Drinks & A Bed to Sleep It Off

   After a day of exploration, riders head back to Big Bike Touring HQ, arriving around 4:00 PM, where the tour officially comes to an end. We wrap up our adventure the best way we know how  with a well-earned pizza and 2 complimentary drinks at the Novotel pizzeria, where you can pick from 6 different pizza options and wash it all down with a beer or soft drink of your choice before saying your goodbyes. With a complimentary night's stay included, each rider can choose whether to rest and recharge or head straight home the same day. For those staying the night, we highly recommend heading out in the evening to explore the vibrant Nimman area, right on your hotel's doorstep  you'll find a fantastic selection of restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and more just steps away. The tour concludes back in Chiang Mai, leaving riders with unforgettable memories of an incredible journey through breathtaking landscapes and unique experiences shared on the open road.
